Tap Water or Bottled Water is Safe to Drink?

Most of us drink tap water and bottled water every day. But is the water we are dinking safe?
 
Tap water comes from a public water system run and maintained by a municipality. The water is clear, but that's doesn't mean the water is free of all contaminants, the levels of any contaminants don't pose any serious health risk.
 
Now, bottled water is everywhere, in offices, airplanes, stores, homes and restaurants. Where does bottled water come from? Some comes from sparkling springs and other pristine sources, but most of it comes from a municipal supply. Bottled water is regulated for safety, but it’s a tricky thing. Most bottled water comes in polyethylene terephthalate bottles. When stored in hot or warm temperatures, the plastic may leach chemicals into the water. What's worse, bottled water is an increasingly growing business, and with that comes a whole lot of environmental impact. Water bottles are trashed every day. That bottle that takes just three minutes to drink can take up to a thousand years to biodegrade.
